BEST OF 2013: SKINCARE

Oh 2013, where have you gone? I have tried and tested a number of new products, made a few repeat purchases and finally found an evening skincare routine which i love. I'm not one to wear a lot of makeup during the day, or at night for that matter, but i absolutely love taking the time to look after my skin. A healthy, glowing complection can (i promise) be achieved through regular exercise, a balanced diet and by investing in the time to really take care of your skin.

Ok, let's talk beauty favourites...

For the face

LUSH Rudolph Fresh Face Mask - A limited edition face mask which soothes dry, irritated skin after a cold winter's day. This mask is loaded with cucumbers and fresh mint which not only smells amazing, it helps to revitalise and replenish the skin leaving the skin looking brighter and hydrated in under 10 minutes. £5.95 BUY NOW

ORIGINS Never a Dull Moment - The skin-brightening face polisher does exactly what it says it should do. Having received this as a birthday gift earlier this year i can't stop using this. Definitely one to repurchase! Personally i like to use it in the morning to awaken and brighten my skin if i've had little sleep or a big night out the night before. £25.00 BUY NOW

ORIGINS GinZing - A super light weight hydrating moisturiser which leaves skin feeling silky and smooth. As an added bonus the moisturiser smells like freshly squeezed oranges which eases the early rises first thing in the morning. £23.00 BUY NOW

SISLEY Floral Spray Mist - A refreshingly light floral mist which soothes and softens the skin for instant comfort. I originally bought this spray to use during the summer months but actually have continued to use this spray through autumn and winter. I love using it first thing in the morning to gently freshen and revitalise my skin before the day ahead. £60.00 BUY NOW

SK-II Skin Signature - A super light, ultra moisturising and all round comforting cream which completely softened my skin leaving it soft, hydrated and a perfect base to apply makeup to.  The most wonderful moisturising cream in a perfectly sized little pot. I actually received this moisturiser several months ago in a Glossy Box but have never been able to source the exact same product. #sigh. Have you ever tried any other products from this brand? If i could, i would definitely repurchase. VISIT SK-II

For the eyes

ORIGINS No Puffery - A cooling mask which sounds as good as it is reality. Incredibly soothing and aims to reduce puffiness and minimise dark circles. Apply pre face mask and for real indulgence pop several candles on and take a bath. #dreamy. £24.00 BUY NOW

MURAD Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes - A luxuriously light hydrating eye cream which achieves maximum hydration without leaving eye area heavy with excess product. The eye area is very delicate so requires careful application and regular attention. Apply eye cream by gently patting the cream evenly to the under the eye and to the brow bone using your ring finger. Where possible try avoid rubbing the cream into the skin surrounding the eyes. £57.00 BUY NOW Quote FESTIVE20 at checkout to receive 20% off.

For the lips

LUSH Santa's Lip Scrub -  A beautifully scented festive scrub designed to exfoliate your lips for ultimate smoothness. All that's left to do is to apply your favourite Chanel Coco Rouge lipstick. £5.50 BUY NOW

KIKO Kiss Balm - A deeply nourishing neutral lip balm which leaves lips feeling silky soft. I went for a neutral shade -  01 Coconut which has the best taste. Definitely need to repurchase. £5.90 BUY NOW

For the hands

SEPHORA Velvet Hand Scrub - An ultra soothing hand scrub with nourishing almond oil and anti-aging avocado oil which leaves hands silky soft and hydrated. £8.80 BUY NOW

So that's a roundup of all my beauty favourites for 2013. What are your favourites? and lastly thank you for all your support over Pomegranate and Coffee's first few months!

  7. EVERYONE's been loving the lush lip scrub thing! I've tried their originals, and although they're overpriced (I mean all it is is some sugar and food colouring!) they ARE incredible!
