2018 | REVIEW + RESET

As we are now six months into the year, this week I decided to take stock of where I am, where I am going and where I plan to be. In January, I purposely set a few intentions to start the year off on the right note and to begin working towards my personal and professional goals. For those that know me, I'm naturally an organised person but I wanted to include some steps to create more of a morning routine and provide direction. I've noted my top intentions below.

I N T E N T I O N S
for a slow morning

- wake up earlier (ideally an hour and a half before I need to leave)
- read at least a few pages each morning
- make time to enjoy breakfast
- prepare lunch the night before
- move a little each morning (i've been enjoying Lottie Murphy's short pilates videos and at 6 minutes long, there is no excuse)
- be more present

Although technically I have been practising these intentions for a while, I know that consistency is key to building a routine. A slower morning means more time to relax, enjoy my coffee and spend time with my boyfriend. You just can’t beat that!

Aside from the above intentions, I also set some more concrete goals. I invested in An Organised Life diary (such a great purchase!) which has helped me outline my goals by breaking them down into weekly, monthly and yearly tasks.

How do you keep on track with your goals?

Looking ahead to the second half of year, I plan on trialling meditation, even if it's only five minutes each morning. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time but never given it enough time or priority.
